As a supplier of demanding education, healthcare and corporate facilities, Accuro required flooring that would live up to its high operating standards and which would meet the demands of food industry regulations and guidelines such as HACCP.
To achieve this, 550 m2 of Flowfresh MF was applied in the site’s kitchen areas while a further 300 m2 of Flowfresh RT was applied in the cold rooms. The HACCP International certified, polyurethane systems are ideal for food and beverage environments - as the durable nature of Flowfresh enables it to withstand thermal shock from hot ovens, chemical attack from food by-products and point loading from heavy equipment.
The seamless and impervious nature of the Flowfresh range facilitates quick and easy cleaning. To further enhance on-site hygiene levels, the antimicrobial additive Polygiene® is homogenously distributed into every Flowfresh floor. Drains were incorporated into the floors to allow excess liquid and unwanted substances to rapidly flow out of the contamination-sensitive production and storage areas.
1,300m2 of the high-build epoxy resin coating system Flowcoat SF41 was used to protect the floor in the corridors, storage and warehouse areas. This finish would provide a level and reliable surface that would not deteriorate when faced with constant traffic from pedestrians and wheeled equipment, heavy pallets, fully loaded racks of produce and regular cleaning.
The loading bays at Accuro’s site were coated with 500m2 of Flowtex HT to ensure that the floor would not fail despite the movement and weight of heavily laden trucks.
