Marina Mall

Abu Dhabi’s Marina Mall recently renovated its car park facilities with a specialist Flowcrete deck coating system. Located along the Corniche, close to the Emirates Palace, the luxurious mall features a 100m high viewing platform, an ice rink, bowling alley, musical fountains and a Cineplex alongside the venue’s hundreds of stores.

The client became unhappy with the flooring system that had previously been installed within its car park facility and consequently sought out a higher performance flooring system with greater aesthetic values.

A total of 24,000sqm of Deckshield ID was laid in the mall’s car park over a period of six months, throughout which the mall remained fully operational.

Deckshield was an ideal fit for the project, as it is suitable for the refurbishment of existing car parks or new constructions and the range of colour options meant that the mall could tailor the car park’s appearance to its own bright and vibrant colour scheme. The reflective surface provided by the Deckshield range also means that the car park can now be more easily lit.
